Dalal Sucheta, Author & Columnist

Sucheta Dalal is an award-winning business journalist and author with over 22 years in the profession, founded on many newsbreaks, insightful analysis and high integrity. She was conferred the prestigious Padma Shri for journalism in 2006. She is a columnist and consulting editor for The Indian Express group; a Consulting Editor for MoneyLIFE a personal finance fortnightly and also writes a column for Hindustan. She is also a Member of Bank of Baroda’s Standing Committee on consumer services.

Sucheta played the role of co-creator of the "Safai Ka Pitara" concept by her suggestion of having a simple weighing scale to enable the collection of bio- and non-bio degradable waste thereby making the concept of reverse vending applied to waste, practical.

Maluste Nandan, Chair, CRY

Nandan Maluste has been a management consultant, advertising executive, entrepreneur, is now a senior executive with Kotak Mahindra Bank. He also works with CRY-Child Rights & You, the Confederation of Indian Industry, and the Rotary Club of Bombay and has served the Bombay Natural History Society, Indian Merchants’ Chamber, etc. Nandan has been published in India and abroad and interviewed for press, radio and television.

Nandan introduced Dr. Narayanan and Atul Wad to take the Concept stage of "Safai Ka Pitara" to the next stage of building the Prototype.

Wad Atul, Kellogg School of Management

Atul Wad has over twenty five years of experience in corporate strategy, sustainable business development, technology and trade in emerging markets in Africa, Asia and Latin America and the Caribbean as a consultant, entrepreneur and academic. He has been Professor of Research at Northwestern University, an officer at the United Nations Center for Science and Technology for Development (UNCSTD) in New York, Visiting Professor at IIM Bangalore and Kellogg, Research Fellow at the Science Policy Research Unit, University of Sussex, Chief of Finance and Strategy at FYBX Corporation, Advisor to several United Nations agencies, including UNIDO, UNESCO, World Bank, UNDP and UNFSSTD, and to various corporations in the US and Emerging Markets. He is also the founder of Tambourine Technologies, which specializes in Venture Capital and Business Incubation for entrepreneurial firms in emerging markets.

Malik Amit, Social & Business Positioning Strategist

Amit Malik is a proponent of improving democratic relationships, systems and processes in the rising democracies of Asia and a strategist who works for hire on selected business positioning assignments.

Amit thought of the initial concept of reverse vending applied to garbage bin to inculcate a sense of hygiene and cleanliness. Amit also networks with people to take the concept to market.
